Hi,

I currently have a 20MB VDSL Line only, ADSL is not enable on the port. I have a Pace 921VNX. Does anyone know if it's possible to put this Telkom branded Pace V2500 into bridge mode? The interface on this thing is **** and slow and I would just like this thing to be a modem and let me Netgear DGND4000 do my network management and routing etc...

Thanks!

Yes, just enable "PPPoE Pass Through"

It's on the "Router/Internet" page

It's already enabled...But do I need to deactivate the PPP parameters?

Cool thanks. Seems to be up and running. Shot for the help mister!

How did you go about setting up your dlink to do the above I also have a pace 921vnx and would like to use my dlink 2750u to manage all me settings and just use the pace just as a modem. I have the pass through checked but on the dlink under status I don't see an internet connection. I didn't disable ppp as the pace seems to give me more distance for my upstairs wireless connections. I only want connections that are downstairs to use the dlinks wifi, i.e. my new chromecast.

Thanks in advance

Dlink you need to add the PPP i believe. worked on a couple doesnt make sense to do it like this but dlink does.

This is probably the worst network device I've ever experienced.

I'm trying to use it in bridge mode with a TP-LINK router - I want to use the TP to establish the PPPoE connection and do all the routing (as well as DHCP etc). From the above posts (and poking around the Pace), it only needs one setting - PPPoE passthrough. What do I do on the TP-Link to get this to work?

I am in the same position. I just want the ppoe passthrough from the pacer router to my billion, however I get the billion to handle the ppoe? I dont get a response from the pacer router. Anybody got a working solution of this ?

Mine works fine. Can you dial a pppoe connection from a PC?

Just set up one of these in bridge mode for the first time for use with an IPCop (replacing a DSL-2500U), I was expecting problems but it's working fine, net to net VPNs and all.

Seems a bit of an overkill as it's just functioning as a modem, all other services disabled. Given the size of the modem and PSU I half expected the lights to dim when I turned it on :) ... anyone know how many watts it draws configured this way?
