Packet Loss issue on ADSL

I have stability problems with my ADSL line and Telkom is completely useless to assist.

My router is set up to connect to the internet automatically, but when it is connected, certain websites (like our own at www.peopleres.co.za) does not work properly. When I connect to our website the first time it opens up. If I hit refresh or browse to another page, it basically freezes and eventually either time out or brings it up in part with not all the content loaded. Some other websites doesn't even open up at all.
Also, sometimes the internet light just goes red and then I need to turn the router off and on again before I can connect to the internet again. This happens at random.
However, if I connect to the internet via Windows Networking (dialup connection), all websites work fine. When the internet light turns red however, a restart of the router is still required.

I talked to Openweb and they checked their logs and they can only tell me that I'm experiencing Packet Loss. I've probably logged 4 calls with Telkom already and they just close it again without even bothering to contact me.

This issue started last year around October when my Billion 800G router was struck by lightning and I replaced it with a Billion 400G. I didn't report it because I thought the issue was with the modem or something, but in December (lightning again), I decided to go for a Netgear router and the problem still persists.

Any suggestions on how to proceed to get this sorted out would be appreciated.

when lighting strikes the POTS filters and/or the computers' network interface can also get damaged

Computer is fine. Having trouble with any computer / laptop connected to the router.
The ADSL router does not go through a filter, only the telephone does.

i've wondered if lighting could damage the DSLAM port at the exchange side too, but no-one could answer. if you could post the result of a tracert to www.mybroadbband.co.za, it will help pinpoint at which hop the packet loss is occurring

The tracert does not show any packet loss, but still the site doesn't open properly or very slowly. Mybroadband actually works fine, but our site does not. The packet loss is according to Openweb's logs. I've pasted the results below nonetheless.
For what its worth, the tracert via the router takes about 15 seconds longer to complete than via Windows Network Connections (using the same ISP account in both cases).
Telkom said they've tested my line and it tests fine, which is why they keep closing the faults, although I wouldn't know if their test would pick up this DSLAM port you've mentioned.

I'm going to log a complaint about this to Telkom as well, but I first want to make 100% sure that this cannot be caused by some kind of setting on my router for instance, although I doubt it since I don't mess around with the advanced settings and this is the same problem on two routers now.

Thanks,
