Parking in the Jozi CBD

Hi

Does anyone know of paid parking areas in and around simmonds/anderson/marshall/main/fox street in the Jozi CBD, we have a couple of contractors going to standard bank next week and want to book some parking for them for a couple of months.

We used to use the easipark parking in loveday, but that has now filled up

Anyone know of a place?

Doesn't Standard Bank have a building for parking? It's ironic how half the buildings in the CBD is actually parkades for the larger companies there [Anglo i know have like 2 huge 7-level parkades in that area]. When we go to Anglo's offices we use their parkades..[obviously we need to book/arrange everytime, but still much easier than finding paid parking spots ].

std bank usually book out parking bays for their ext contractors ...check with them first if you don't come right then try cnr of sauer and fredrickson (the parking building) they offer monthly parking for R430 or so else try cnr of sauer and hall same rate per month, no other place i can think off ...

Yip they usually do, but we sit in the marshall street building, not the fancy lah dee dah 5 simmonds, so we have to struggle on our own, but will try those locations, thanks

Apparently there is parking at Gandhi square, never seen it though. You can try and park on Sauer street, there are a few warehouses that offer per day/per month parking, they will only be available for another two months though.

After that im going to either try and come in really early before the parking fills up or take the bus.

Yip found out about the parking at gandhi square, just trying to see if I can find something closer. I usually arrive at 5:30, then thorpe is wide open, but lots of people do not share my ability at being an early riser

Parking is going to get pretty dire in the next few months... I hope they figure some thing out.

There is something called Drummond Garage, not too far from Standard (it is on loveday). The contractors here use that. There is also some parkings on Sauer (green roof buildings, but i am not sure who to contact about that). If you want a number for Drummond i can try find out.

There is parking on the corner of simmonds and Thorpe, its a standardbank parkade. They allow parking by day, but you have to be there before 7 atleast, or else its full. It's R30 a day. The parking in the industrial site on Sauer might be able to help, but you gotta go there around the 3rd of the month, speak to Sipho, and he might be able to help. They called Ussher Industrial Sites. Huge greedn warehouses. Other than that, there are a whole lot of smaller places, but most have waiting lists, cos of the industrial site closing down... Hope that helps

Thats where i park, but the bank pays... Cool thing about this parking is there is a tunnel under the road into the bank, so you dont need to walk outside when its cold.
