Used to do that when I was 18. LOL

Most of the best viewpoints in JHB have been built up. I heard that you can't really get a nice place in Northcliff now.
 
You can but no great spots..You'll have to stay in your car around 6pmish on one of the high up roads to get a beautiful view of Joburg at night :love: but ofcourse the residents might call ADT on you or something lmao.
You could go on a hike to the water-tower there but that gets locked at sundown..

There is a hotel on Northcliff mountain but I can't remember their name..if I remember will come back and update.

Not the greatest idea..had a group of guards try open my door when me and my girl chilling in a parking lot making out = Arguement = Alleged banned from the mall

Don't think there is anywhere safe or not built up in Gauteng for this type of thing any more.

lol. the roomie will most probably want to know what song it is or ask to turn down the music and/or turn it up again when a song comes on that they like. etc

and no. not a chick. and really not interested in that sort of thing :p

parking lot isnt a bad idea. had many a fun time in parking lots. driving from edenvale to northcliff or where i used to go is a bit far. 30min drive is 30min less i can spend with her other than avoiding the dangerous driving habits here
 
Northcliff koppie is dodge ! Went the with a friend and we both had our girls with a while back, went back to the car latter and they had smashed his window and stole his CDs

neither are romantic....
 
I find that nature can be quite romantic.
take a drive to your closest nature reserve with a camping area and spend an evening watching the sun go down over a dam or river :)
