Past performance good indicator for future performance?

Back at last to annoy you guys again. I had to work at work today and had no time to post.

Jambai and Jehosefat. You guys are correct in what you say. Perhaps I should not have used the term "Penny Stock" as there is no clear definition on it. I did google it and only found, I think USD <10 and GBP <1. Nothing for ZA. Nevertheless, I did punt Penny Stocks with FSP and Jeff Black many years ago and some were on ALTX and some on the main board but all were under R10.00 but this could be Jeff's interpretation of a Penny Stock.
The fact remains that CML in 2003 must have started off at under R10 and on the ALTX for that matter. So movements of 10 to 20% back in those days were not corrections but just due to the large spreads and the thin volumes.
So Alfred must remove those and all the others during the 2008 crash from his hit list.

And Alfred. Look at Sibanye trading at around R14 and Alert. These are 2 of the most volatile stocks moving 20% or more per day. They are not correcting. They are just being traded and looking for direction.

Oh ffs. Coronation never traded on the AltX, they listed on the main board in 2003 and were assigned GIPSTM compliance. They were therefore well traded, never on thin volumes and never on massive spreads. In fact the AltX hadn't even launched when CML listed. If you knew even the remotest little bit about the financial markets you would know this. Stop punting your version of bullschit! Enough now. You were wrong, once again, marco. Accept it and bugger off now...

Ditto

For someone who claims to have spent years researching stocks he knows amazingly little.

That's an absolutely incredible bunch of crud that you managed to fit into one post there.

I don't know know where to start with correcting you

But you're clearly not interested anyway, so stay the way you are dude.
Oh no my dear Alfred. What to say to you? I just can't penetrate your mind as your demigods can. The 3 of you have decided to conspire against me but I will prevail.
I must say that it is strange how many PM's I received from followers of this thread that actually agree with me. Perhaps they are also just as stupid as me.

We'll continue to prove you wrong until hopefully you're banned, as we'd like to prevent innocent people from following your advice.

You should have seen the now deleted post of his. Claims he has proved he is right and I am just an arsehole and there is nothing anyone can say that can prove him wrong. He's starting to kamikaze...

I saw that, should have screenshotted :(

*does the demigod dance*

I haven't looked lately but what has my investment been doing over the past 3 years? 500% or 600. Can you check for me.

Yes but although marco is wrong you're still an arsehole :p
please don't RBP :D

Does all this advice, whether on forum or via PM, comply with FSB regulations?

Others for the most part comply perfectly. marco's advice however is not only against the FAIS code of conduct, but he is not a registered advisor and is advising in an illegal capacity too. This has been brought to his attention, but he flat-out ignores it, as he does absolutely everything else he is corrected about. Once the issue is brought to moderators' attention, it creates a liability issue as they are knowingly allowing this. The only things that marco has protecting him (apart from the mods by the looks of things) is anonymity and that he is not FAIS registered...

We've tried to help you with that as well, I see you still haven't learnt.
Will post again for you.

And for your next question.
Here is where you will be paying your massive CGT bill, which is around 40% or so in your case.
http://www.sarsefiling.co.za/
You sold your entire CML holding in the middle of last year (BECAUSE YOU GOT SCARED DURING A "CORRECTION" [lol lol lol], so that means that 40% of your gains will be gone.

You then bought those shares back at a higher price as well as PNC and MTA that haven't done as well since you bought them.
You're also selling R30 000 a month of your shares, so you'll be paying tax on those too.

Once you've calculated your return and taken off your taxes, let us know how you've done old chap. :)

Oh yes, and next year, you get to pay tax on that chunk of shares you had to sell for this years taxes.

Ain't that just lovely dude.

Oh Alfred. Get back to your figures. They are completely wrong. CGT at 40%???

You called DJ is arsehole and then you went and modified the post (it will not show a modified tag if you change it quick enough after posting, not sure of the exact time gap one is given).

Oh dear. Did I? I'm in trouble. Big Big Trouble. But he is one. He gets over worked up and will have a coronary event if he keeps this anger. Slow down DJ. We don't want to loose you. Not even me. Believe it or not.

I have not advised anyone to invest in any stocks. I have discussed them only. If it is against the FAIS Act to give stock advice on a forum then every single member of the sharechat forum must be prosecuted. It is certainly not against the act as I have never misrepresented myself as an advisor.
