PASTEL PARTNER Stock quantity discrepancy

Good morning guys

I'm hoping here is some pastel guru that can help me >.<

A certain item we have in stock displays a quantity on hand that differs dramatically from the quantity on hand in the inventory activity summary.

I have done a rebuild on the db, every form of the integrity test and checked the batches as well as for unposted items. Everything checked out.

Pastel version is 11.2.1 (Old I know, but we are going over to evolution this year and see no point in upgrading something that won't be used soon)

No we have 50 different categories, one for each supplier, with the exception of one supplier which is split into 6 lines, each their own category.

Ok, but isn't there stock quantities in any of the other categories because you will only see the on hand in that category selected...

The product in question(SEDG OBS 750ML) only exists under that one category (Distel 750ML).

Have you tried the rebuild batch quantities option under FILE - DATA INTEGRITY.

The other option is to run a stock fix - If you have support contact Pastel, otherwise contact your local Pastel Dealer and ask them to do a stock fix on your data.

Hi guys sorry I was AFK since the 17th.

@Ponder: The 87 unposted were part of unupdated batches at the time I took the screenie. Atm the unposted quantities are 0 again.

@Waynehooper: Yes I've run the data integrity tests as well as a rebuild of the database. We don't have pastel support unfortunately, if I could have my way we would but my boss's opinion is he pays me to fix it. >.>

Still think you need a stock fix. Go to help and about in Pastel and tell me what your Pastel version and build is. PM me and I will send you the stock fix file. (If your build is the same as the one on your Pastel DVD - look under UTIL/PASTEL UTILITIES on the DVD and look for a file FIXSTKVXXXX.EXE where XXXX is your version & build ie. 1024)

I am sure Pastel will give you an authorization code, even you do not have support. Phone them on 011 3043800 and give it a try.

If they will not budge, PM me and I will make a plan...

I have a problem and dont know how to fix it.
Old sales orders that were linked to invoices or deleted - the inventory item still hold item on sales order.
1) Opening process customer - sales order - the sales order is not there due to it being invoiced or deleted.
2) Opening item that was on deleted sales order - shows item is sill on sales order
3) Run View inventory quantity - Sales order - drill down - the deleted SO and item still there

This makes my available stock quantity incorrect.
