With all the map changes in Cata, what about the people without Cataclysm? I assume they will still be able to got there but will they be able to fly in Kalimdor and Eastern Kingdoms?

some zones will still incorporate phasing similar to trisfal glades.

How does one do this? And is this done after the patch is installed? I have a 5770 and would like to try the Dx11 out.
This won't screw the game up at all, will it?

The game will not damage your hardware, game engines have limitations to actual hardware abilities, what is usually advertised in the game is normally very under par what the card can handle. If you are however overclocking the device without appropriate cooling you will land up with issues. By experimental, they usually mean that you might have unforeseen events within the game itself regarding their engine.
@Veroland - If current wow is to go by when i used to run Cathedral i sometimes could not see my friends until they where within the instance, which is a none phased zone.
As vaguely mentioned in Crowley's quote
Edit your wow shortcut and add -d3d11 to the end in the properties of the shortcut
IE
Target: "C:\Games\World of Warcraft\WoW.exe" -d3d11
according to mmo, one of the threads, after that last patch, theres another one for 'non critical updates'
how do you force wow to download from the local (is it a mirror) site?
No local mirror, just people that are kind enough to upload the patches on local servers (such as the Webafrica freezone). You have to download them and paste them in the download folder of your client. This only works for the first 3 parts of the 4.0.1 patch, since the last 1.6GB does not have a stand-alone patch yet (as stated previously in this thread)
i was talking about akamai, or whatever it is that blizz uses here. their own personal p2p site
