Patch Antenna?

hey is it possible to use my old megawan equipment ie the antenna on my roof? im not 100% sure if it runs at the same frequency, but i heard it did, or close enough... also i heard that the antenna might be static and could blow my modem, how true is this?

What kind of a dish is it? If it's 802.11 kit it should be pretty much close to the 2.5ghz that MyWireless uses.

I just bought a wifi cantenna from the USA and its working great. They normally design them for a relatively wide range frequency, so yours should work. Try it.
