Lovely news isn't it... to know that your lovely M$ system still might be compromised if you don't apply these patches... *sigh*

Today's Microsoft "patch tuesday" is the largest ever recorded with 31 vulnerabilities; 5 more than the two previous record months.

This information alone is a mere curiosity - measuring levels of vulnerability by "number of vulnerabilities found" is worthless for a myriad of reasons - not least that all bugs are not created equal!

Unfortunately, this bunch are a sterling lot - not content with arriving by the busload, these nasties are widespread, and some are pretty serious. When put together, these vulnerabilities form a heady concoction which could lead to a nasty hangover for systems worldwide.

One word : BLEUGH
