pathetic vodacom blackberry

Did u have it on 3G ?
Downloaded my free apps and update of BBM and it was very fasy.

If you did an OS update then that does take long.
 
What time was this? I only download during the early hours of the morning and my downloads fly! It could also be the weather affecting the signal.
 
I'm really really tired of complaining. Thank God I'm on prepaid, going to port once my bis expires
 
Have you guys complaining of slow speeds perhaps logged queries via customer? There might actually be obvious problems in the area that we not aware of.

Oh, and thats the reason why I'm on android now. BUT, I've bought my last data from vodacom. A snail is faster. But I can see a revolt by their customers coming.
 
It is not Vodacom's fault that BIS is so slow.

Vodacom was going to throttle users but they didnt due to too many customers complaining.

The problem is with RIM (Blackberry), their RIM servers have too many people downloading big files off it. People use BIS to download large movies, games, etc with it these days.

3G my ass for sure! A lot of the time, when the phone says 3G and the signal is full, the pages don't even load or I get an error telling me to contact my service provider (or whatever that error says) :wtf:

I am very sorry I ever got tempted into buying a BB. At least my BIS is free, so I can get me another phone and wait out till the contract expires...

After this contract, vodacome will not be seeing my green backs anymore.

Really so why pray tell, is MTN's BIS not slow as a 99yr old trying to run a 100m sprint?

If the payment for selling your BB privately equals the cost cancelling your contract prematurely would you consider it?
After the contract expires you'll be left with a paperweight that nobody wants.
 
Vodacom's network is poor. I contacted their customer care by email, twitter, hellopeter, everytime its a different excuse. Vodacom does respond, but they don't solve the problem. They admitted in July 2011 that there is a problem and will work on it, beginning of November, still the same, its unfair how they charge full for a service which they even acknowledge has a problem. It would take me 15 mins to load google's homepage, finally ported to 8ta last week, it's the best move i've done. Hope 8ta keep up their service and network quality.

Have you seen the cost involved in a premature cancellation?

I signed up for Top Up 135 and got a 'free' HTC Snap (fairly entry level) and was looking cancelling early.

I asked for a cancellation on 6 October 11 and my contract expires on 15 May 2012 (7 months remaining). Having gone almost 80% of the way, I wasn't expecting a huge sum - but the cost is R1,723.00. I may as well just have left the R135.00 for the 7 months, pay R945.00 spread out.
