"Pause" my Telkom service

Is it possible to do this for 3 months? I'm talking about my normal analogue and dsl line rentals only. No contract or data accounts etc.

As far as I know you can request a temporary service suspension, not sure for how long though.

I'm in a similar situation where I wanted to ''pause'' my service for about 3 months as work brought me to Cape Town for a while and everything will be unused ( and paid for ) in Pretoria.

I called Telkom a few minutes ago and actually had a very helpful service agent tell me that Telkom had this option in the past where they were able to basically pause a part of your service for a certain amount of time, but that the option has been removed. The only recourse is to cancel or keep on paying.

Must admit that i'm extremely impressed with the lady that assisted me. Telkom seems to be looking for redemption as of late.
