PayFast - Safe?

So, in the "Classifieds" section, I'm selling a phone.
Guy contacts me and asks me to use PayFast - he won't pay me any other way.

Is this safe?

I can't seem to find information on them besides their site.

I've tried to make contact with their ONLINE CHAT SUPPORT but it's not working.

Its safe.

I leave some cash in my PayFast wallet for purchases from BoB and haven't had any issues yet.

It also has the ability to transfer cash to other people (as is the case here) - although I personally have not done this yet.

Yes, I've used PayFast. It's perfectly safe (within limits and using common sense I guess). Use it often on commercial sites when I don't use my credit card directly- but I've not used it in private sales yet. But I've found that PayFast is not so fast at all- in my case my bank is Standard Bank and I often have to email the proof of payment manually as it doesn't pick up on the sytem. They blame the bank for this, not sure if it's the bank or their fault.

Payfast is 100% safe. I have been using it since 2011.

The only tip I can give: Always confirm the funds by logging into YOUR Payfast account & it will show you if you did receive the money or not.

Obviously you need to login to your payfast account to check if the funds are there before concluding the transaction

Used them plenty and haven't had any issues.
