Literally having the worst time trying to pay for my order on the US Amazon.com using my FNB Life Start MasterCard... I know I'm not "meant" to be able to use this card for international card payments (according to FNB) but I've never ever had a problem with it paying to my Amazon Web Services bill every single month, although that's a dollar or two versus $600.
What are my options?
VCpay isnt able to do international payments however I have someone who's student Nedbank MasterCard I can use - worth trying?

PS: The order will ship to SA, its just payment I'm having issues with.

Call FNB and have the card approved for international transactions or use PayPal

Does Amazon accept PayPal?

Apparently not, I didn't know that interesting! He could buy a amazon gift card from gyft.com with PayPal and use that at checkout. That is getting very complicated and would be better to get his CC sorted for international stuff once and be done with it.

Yeah I'm thinking about gyft but yeah I agree it gets complicated proxying my payment like that - but if you think that'll work than yay!
FNB straight up told me on friday I can't do "Online Shopping" with my Life Start Card - which I don't beleive seeing as I've been using paypal with my card for over a year to pay for web hosting/uber and (as mentioned in#1) my card for AWS amazon s3 storage.

eBay and Amazon are competitors is why. PayPal was owned by eBay, dunno if it still is

It will definitely work and if you already have PayPal it's not that complicated after all. You should also consider a different type of credit card because even though with the "life start" option you might have low fee's most CC's are interest free if you settle within 55 day's and would just have transaction fee's.

It's actually just my Debit Card that has MasterCard payment support somehow :crylaugh:
But yeah preferable dont want to change anything with FNB because they've been great with the current Student account I have

So going to in fo FNB to find a solution today, you think this would be worth while?
Gyft doesn't seem too legit and I've been hearing things about their gift card being denied by Amazon. Not willing to through R9600 away like that.

Otherwise, I could always save the hassle and ask one of my nedbank friends to take my money and order it for me.

You are really making your own life difficult.

Get a virgin money credit card if you are obsessed with this FNB card.
