Hi Guys,

Does anyone know where one could build a PC in Cape Town? I know of evertech but it's in centurion and that's quite far.

Thanks

Sorry guys. Can someone help me with building a budget PC on the site? I'm not really a PC geek.

@WAslayer ?

What is your budget..? What is the main thing you will be using the PC for..? Video/photo editing/ general browsing/office work gaming..? Do you need a monitor mouse and keyboard in addition to the PC..?

My budget is around R9000 - R10000. It'll be used mostly for work and maybe a little bit of gaming.

Your budget is on the tight side, so you won't be gaming AAA titles in 1080p at 60fps, but this will certainly make most gaming enjoyable..

However, this is just one of many different options, so also see what other guys are recommending before commiting..

Get an apu if gaming is not a priority

I still think is better to buy a cheap GT 1030 Gddr5 card, pick one up for R650 second hand. It runs Fortnite on 1080p high. It's weak in new AAA titles but will still be playable on low settings.

these new apus are badĂ ss and there's a market for used ones for people building media pcs, I saw snips of a video the other day on the digital foundry channel featuring an apu that runs Apex legends but maybe you're right

OP should take the time and youtube out suggestions

1600x on a mb that does not overclock with ram that's not optimal and only a 1yr warranty... smells like evetech

Yeah true that. I'm not a hardcore gamer. As long as the game is playable, i have no problem with it. Not a fan of a million fps. Lol. As long as it runs smoothly, i'm good to go.
