Ok so this is the setup I have so far, is it the optimal setup I can have?

the yellow rings are where the side fans are, notice the top one has a bracket around it, the one on the back and the one on the side are both blowing in and the 2 on the side are blowing out, removing hot air from the CPU and Graphics card

Did you turn the fan on the CPU upside down? CPU fans normally blow downwards.

Nope, its blowing downwards..... that arrow refers to the top fan on the side panel

just so no arguments start,

My CPU fan blows downwards

Then it doesn't seem right to me. The air is being sucked away from the fan that should be gathering air from the side duct and blowing it downwards. Seems like a mini vacuum, really.

ja thats one of the disadvantages of it, but it also quickly removes the hot air that the CPU fan pushes through the heat ink, any other people got something to say about this?

The back should be blowing out, the side panel should be blowing, if that is the case i cannot see the vacuum rift?

the back is blowing in, to bring cool air onto the mobo, and where should it be blowing?

Well if you ask me and i may be wrong the side panel should have air blowing in, the back of the case should be sucking air out.

You also have space for another fan you should get another fan there.

The back is blowing in. The duct above the CPU is most likely close to the CPU and that side fan in the duct is blowing out. If air does get in between the duct and the top of the CPU fan, where's it going to go? Onto the CPU or out the side duct?

When you have a duct on the side, have it feed air in towards the CPU cooler (ie. exactly why the duct is there) and then just do the usual low-front to high-back air flow.

Drawing arrows does not confirm air flow.

The arrows are just showing which direction the fans are blowing and the temp of the air going through them
So you both suggest have the top side fan blowing in and the back fan blowing out?

Side panel must be blowing in and back must be sucking out, not sure if that is what rift is also saying as we getting confused by some of terminology but ya :D.

ok and bottom side panel? taking the hot air from the graphics card?

:D
Yip. :)
Turn the following fans around: one on the back, one on the side above CPU.

No so sure about the other side fan though.

Nope i would have both those side panel fans blowing air in, then i would have 2 sucking it back out.

Test it though and see if the temps change.

Just trying to think where it would be getting cooler air from.

Best bet with that section is to try both. Let that fan blow air out and see how the setup reacts in terms of heat. Then flip it around and have another look-see.

I'd blow air in rather, get a bit of positive pressure (more air in than out), but can't picture where the air would be going right now.
