PC does not start?any advice

For a system to freeze in the BIOS, I would rule out the PSU for now. I would remove and reseat the cpu. Remove 1 RAM module if possible and test the RAM sticks individually. Test a friend's RAM or CPU if you have access.

If that doesn't work, find your receipt and send your MB and CPU in for testing. Are there any areas on the MB that are too hot to touch while it is on? That was the giveaway when I finally cooked my old Asus MB.

Only one stick of ram

But i will try and get another ram module and test

For the Mboard i will feel if there's some kind of hot spot
 
Well sent it back to the supplier to check out..

Will tell you guys what happened when we get it back

I have an Intel board and have experienced same, more than once. I have a jumper that can be set to 3 different settings - normal, reset & configure. Best giggle the manual online. If the BIOS is not happy, the jumper option is the only one.

Else, a dust encrusted PSU or ill-fitting heatsink can cause this, but there's not enough time to build up temperature.
