When i was shutting down, my pc froze on the shutdown screen. As My Cd drive stopped working i decided to check inside the tower if everything was fine after trying everything to fix it. I made sure all cables were firmly attached and i switched off the pc.When i switched it back on the cd drive worked again but a beeping noise kept on going off as soon as i switched on the pc. The pc goes on, all lights light up in the tower but nothing shows on my monitor except no video input and all i hear is that beeping noise in 2 second intervals

Please help cause my mom needs to use the pc for her business

Thanks

Double check that RAM, and the graphics card (if it has one) are seated correctly :)

He means make sure they are pushed firmly down into their slots. Unclip them and re-seat them if you have to. It's a common problem.

Got this from google hope it helps, i would check all conections ram, gpu, cables and so on if i were you. EDIT: Yea like the other posters suggested.

there is also a flashing light in red on the motherboard just above the graphics card, dont know if that is normal, the beeps are about 3 sec long and go on and on and on

The beeps are loud, long and have about 2 sec intervals between each other

Count the beeps, and write it down like 1-1-1 or do they go 1-1-3, the numbers 123 representing beeps so one beeb - one beep - 3 beebs( beep, beep, beep)

Sis man bootles, rodent again for dinner?:D

You have the KB plugged in and nothing on it pressing a key, or a stuck key. Plug the kb out and try again.

plugged the kb out but still the same thing :(

Which part in the tower is the ram, where can i find it ?...sorry dont know too much bout pc's

Please don’t take this the wrong way, but perhaps you shouldn’t fiddle with it too much then, seeing as it’s a “working” pc and not a game box. Get a friend with some knowledge or A+ to help you instead, you might just end up with a lot of damage. :)
