Now just tell us what you did and maybe we can help.
If there is a light flashing on motherboard maybe its trying to tell you the graphics card failed.

What motherboard is it. Any code or number on the board?

Dont worry about your mom, I will tell her you told me you did not do it.

AOPEN motherboard model no :AX4PE
thats the thing i didnt do anything...my pc was just installing those updates after i clicked shut down....i left it for a while and noticed that the pc froze...after i switched it back on, it started making the beeping noises

switch it off and let your mom switch it on. when she hears the beeps she will panic and thats when you jump on in and say you will help and these guys/gals from the forum will help you sort it out. you will be the hero.

I am only joking,

does the board have another VGA (screen) output ie a integrated video cotroller?

nope.....i guess i must call a technician tomorrow....its gonna be expensive again :( i have no idea what the problem could be as i didnt do anything in the tower, as soon as i switched the pc back on it happened

The continuous long beeping sounds like the graphics adapter has either blown or isn't seated correctly.

so what can i do to find out if it is the adapter? i checked and all cables are firmly in place

I agree with checking that your Gfx card and ram is plugged in properly. If you don't know what they look like or what they are google is your friend.

When i was shutting down, my pc froze on the shutdown screen. As My Cd drive stopped working i decided to check inside the tower if everything was fine after trying everything to fix it. I made sure all cables were firmly attached and i switched off the pc.When i switched it back on the cd drive worked again but a beeping noise kept on going off as soon as i switched on the pc. The pc goes on, all lights light up in the tower but nothing shows on my monitor except no video input and all i hear is that beeping noise in 2 second intervals

Please help cause my mom needs to use the pc for her business

Thanks

It's a BOMB !!!

ok, post a picture, I'll put arrows on it to show you whats what...

Ok, tell me how old the pc is, and how old the graphics card is, what graphics card is it?
Honestly, from past experience, TELL YOUR MOM! don't try keeping it a secrete, coz that will only end badly for you. Have you overclocked you graphics card, or any other pc parts?

have you fiddled around with the pc in the last month?

i need to know all these things.

Oh, and i've been in a similar position to you, only i overclocked the shyte out of my graphics card and blew the darn thing.

How is the dust in your pc doing? by that i mean is your pc clean or is it just jam packed of dust, if it's full of dust, then you might have a problem

ha ha if you looked at the second post you would still have had time to get to the shops yesterday to sort it out.
