Has anyone here have any experience with www.pcexpress.co.za? Are they any good. Four reviews on hellopeter and all of them are negative. Prices seems good though.

WOT has no rating as yet and the Whois shows it has been registered in 2011 already. Hmmmm. Seems dodgy to me - don't know why....

Have just ordered something from these guys @ PC Express.co.za and hoping for the best. Will post back about my experience but so far not so good as I cannot reset my password using their emailed rest link and had to do the guest checkout. They did however redeem themselves by responding to my other email queries within a short timeframe (few minutes apart). Their payment systems is also not my preferred way to pay but have used it successfully.

Very positive experience with PC Express but had to do it through an alternative method of ordering as the website keeps offering to reset my password by sending a link that goes no further than the homepage for PC Express. In short, I ordered a gaming monitor on Monday, and received it on Tuesday! Amazingly fast and good quality product! I would recommend them for anybody that's looking for a good deal on PC monitors that in currently out of stock at most other trusted online vendors.

I know this thread is not the most recent but I am planning on buying an all in one cooler and PC Express seem to be the only place that has stock of the particular one I'm looking and their price is majorly unbeatable compared to other more well known vendors.

Can anyone offer an update to their quality of service / reliability in 2020?

Won't be possible for you during the lockdown period.
AFAIK only Wootware are able to sell PC parts during this period.
I haven't seen any other ecommerce platform claiming the same.

pc express/international is the same company, their contact details are also the same.

I have no experience with them.

Link?

I used to use PC International a lot back in the day, spent a good 40k there when the R/$ was still 6. When the owners know your name cause you walk in and just go I want this and do a sweeping gesture :). Strange how those two machines I built back then for 20k would be pretty worthless now.
I've not used them since though unfortunately as their pricing was more or less the same as Wootwares and they were always out of stock of the items i wanted.
Though if they keep their pricing the same as it's currently I may give them a visit after lockdown, they are now far cheaper than wootware.

Just looking at their address in Randburg... that company has been there for many years. I think I first bough from them about 20 years back.

Roughly about 19 or so years ago, they used to be in the shopping centre further up on Bond Street.

I still have an old desktop running accounting here from them... probably about 10 years old. Think it has a 512mb Nvidia in it...

I've got an old Western digital external from them, sadly it's dead now :( not even sure what was on it anymore :(.
