Their prices seem decent.
Anyone have experience buying from these guys?
Im looking at upgrading in the next 4 - 6 months

Thanks

Excellent prices. Fast delivery. Maybe a bit thin on the paperwork/communication side. Bought mobo+cpu+RAM+case+PSU.

Overall I'd recommend them.

Prophecy is also good. Esp for filling the gaps in PCInts list...or if you want something specific.

Very good prices.

Only supply 1 year warranty on Seagate HDDs (even though Seagate have a 5 year warranty)

Seems dodge.

However, I bought a Samsung Lcd from them - no probs there... :)

One year? Very dodge indeed. Anyone getting their stuff from the official distributor should be entitled to the official warranty. One year warranty, that sounds dodge indeed.

bought quite a few things from them and had no problems yet.. haven't had to take anything back though ?

been using them for over a year now though...

More than dodgy, thats just plain irritating!

the only thing i did not like about them 3 years ago when i bought i hdd, i paid with my creadit card and they charged me 5% extra!!!

They didn't charge you 5% extra, they charge cash buyers 5% less :D

Bought a monitor from them a year ago - no probs.

Unless you sign something accepting a lesser warranty, your warranty is valid for either 2 or 3 years (?), as per the law of the country.

I agree with the 5% extra on credit. These days most online suppliers give a cash/EFT price and charge 5% extra on credit and cheque. For those that don't know, it costs a shop money to accept credit cards- the bank charges them 5% on all creditcard income.

Yip.

If it says 5 years on the HDD it is 5 years warranty - just watchout, these guys are "sly".

That being said, I have not had a problem yet (except with an ASUS mobo whose ethernet doews not function correctly).

ASUS mobos are generally crap. Had far too many comebacks with them. If at all possible try and get another brand such as Gigabyte.

That practice is illegal though, right ?

I have used them quite alot, used to get all my stock from them. I have had to take back a few items though, especially mother boards, but then again they were entry level boards so wasnt suprised.

They do charge a 5% surage on credit cards which is a bit of a bummer.. Im busy working out a new machine for myself which i will probably get from them.

I've used them before, excellent prices but not such excellent service...

And I've had a talk with someone dealing with the NCA, apparently the 5% surcharge is illegal...

Bought my Ram, Processor, Chassis and Monitor from them, all ordered through phone/email and pay cash/EFT in their shop when picked up.
