PC for an old guy?

I'd also recommend a Mac. That PC is pretty overpriced! If you're getting a PC there's no use in paying for brand names

I disagree about it being overpriced. It has a three year guarantee, and tier 1 manufactures have a lower failure rate than clones. Should it break, HP will come out and fix it - freeing me of the hassle. Also it is prebuilt and preinstalled which saves me further hassle.... I could get a higher spec for the same price, but performance is not an issue. Value is relative to your requirements....

I agree with you Conrad however I would go with the Makro one to see if it's what he wants. You can always take it back after a trial run and get a refund.

Good point, the price difference would probably only be a few hundred rands....

Alright, that justifies it then..
