Hi Guys

I've encountered this prolem a few times this week and would appreciate your valued imput. It happened again this pm when I was doing an AVG spyware scan, downloading on FDM & browsing (all @ the same time) and the mouse just freezes, no movement, alt delete doesn't work. The only thing to do is hit the restart button.

I've got a P4 3g processor, 1 gig of ram, I don't game so no graphics card. The standard Intel warning message does pop up when a few apps (like the above) are running i.e. temp is high please shut down, etc.

Thank you in advance :)

ok crytic1 as you start up your computer, tap the del button, carry on doing this untill the bios pops up( a blue screen and white wrighting) and go to pc health, if it's over 60 degrees you should be worried, but if it's over 100 degrees um... send it in, hahahaha

Thank you, so can I safely assume that this is a overheating problem and not a software issue/s. I was thinking of a re-format & re-install
