PC Int - Seagate HDD in Samsung packaging!

WTH....I just bought a 1TB Seagate HDD from Pc Intl. but the clear plastic casing it comes packaged in has the Samsung logo with "Samsung Electronics" on it.

The drive is a Seagate though.

What's going on here??:confused:
 
maybe a stuff-up at the factory and now everyone is gonna know seagate = samsung
 
Seagate will never come in Samsung packaging, sounds as if it has already been opened and then repacked in the first thing they could find. Just check that the manufactured date is not older than at most 2 months, otherwise you might have a used drive.

You can also go to the Seagate site, and check to see if you still have the full 5 year warranty. If you still have the full 5 year warranty don't worry about it anymore. (unless you want to worry :D)

Just checked the warranty on Seagate's site and it still has another 4 years 11 months. :D
 
they open everything to put thier pcint sticker on it, so someone took all the hard drive out the packets and another stuck the stickers on and the next put the hard drive back in packets, i v bought alot for mthem before never had issues, and i just bought my 500gb hd from them today :)
 
Same thing happened to me with a different supplier, I know it's a cheap distributor so I was not surprised to see a seagate in samsung case but I prefer the Samsung case anyway and use it for PC screws I have lying around.
 
PC int do that, I have recieved motherboards in plane white boxes that have been opened. Also recieved a Asus Mobo in a white Mecer box. Thats just how they roll :D ;)
 
They repackage don't they? They hawk systems from large manufacturers in SA at bargain basement prices and resell if I am not mistaken. Good business venture. I have bought from them before, but there is a reason they are cheap. :)

I love small companies like this. They are no fuss businesses. They wring the last little saving from opportunity and lady luck. I will endorse PC Int any day. :)

They not really that much cheaper though. I always compare them to the Axis prices, and PC int is a bit cheaper on some stuff but not by much. I heard that they actually get alot of their stuff from Axis? Dunno if that is true.
