Hi friends
My home pc suddenly wouldn't boot up yesterday. no power, lights fans , nothing. When I got home, i unplugged the system, opened the case, let it air for about an hour and tried again. Humidity here was very high yesterday. I live virtually on the beach. My tv also had similar problems but came right towards the evening.
eventually my pc came on but stuck on bios screen. i shorted the bios jumper and restarted and ran cmos setup as required. as soon as i restart however the bios locks again. shorted bios again and this time i chose the option of load "defaults" at startup and i was able to boot into windows and system worked fine while i was in windows.
As soon as i shut down/ restart, I get a warning of cpu fan error/ new cpu installed error/ over voltage error and the system locks up asking me to run setup. However pressing delete at startup refuses entry to cmos setup. I have to short the bios again and retry from the beginning.

at 1.00 am last night, i quit trying
