Hoe does this change anything. Also if you think ssd is cheap good for youHow can you possibly be still running a hdd when an Ssd is so cheap and such an enormous speed boost.
Order one right now, preferably an Nvme if your mbb supports them. You can just clone your current install over.

Not at all; well running it on my alt box on a pcie 4.0 7000/7000 nvme. Perhaps you should try one? From experience I can tell you that even the most powerful PC with an i9 CPU running windows 10 will feel like a mid 2010's dual core.

/ninja edit saves! especially when you realize you kinda talked kak.Check my edit, I added mechanical HDD.

You completely missed his point.
"But the pc lag is terrible. The response time on anything I do or click is terrible! I have now installed a second hand AMD Radeon HD 7900 and when using this the pc runs smoothly. But without it the PC is basicly unusable."

LOL read the OP again.
I dunno what made you think you qualify as PC support in the first place.
Jaco: Different graphic card = good, original graphics card = bad.
Airborne: Then it must be the HDD.
Getting an SSD is good advice.Oh fk off, I’m just giving the op some helpful advice, the op obviously doesn’t realise the difference an ssd makes.
Yes it’s advice not directed at resolving his actual issue but it will nevertheless be a much needed “fix”.
Getting an SSD is good advice.
This thread isn't for good advice, this thread is for resolving a specific issue the OP is having. It's possible there is an HDD fault. That doesn't seem to be related to the issue the OP is having, given that changing the graphics card resolves the issue.
I'm pretty sure this is software related - drivers most likely. It's possible there's something wrong with the on-board GPU, but it's unlikely that would fail and the rest of the CPU would be to blame.

OP, your issue must be that you have your RGB set to the wrong colour. You've likely got it set to red. Set it to blue instead. Blue is a shorter wavelength, so will be faster. Ideally, get a new SSD and paint it blue for maximum performance.
Or, you know, we could just fix the actual issue.
Hi Karen, considering how cheap ssds are and the massive performance boost they give it is stupid not to have one.how stupid he was for having a PC with a hard drive.
Hi Michael.Hi Karen.
Some extra RAM and a SSD got me a few more years out of my 8 year old system...Lol, Google a speed comparison and if R600 for a 256gb Ssd is too expensive then I’m not sure how you managed to afford your system in the first place.
Super calm. Just pointing out that your advice is good (I even said so) but useless in this scenario as it won't solve the problem.Jesus mother of Mary, calm down to a panic everyone.
I made the suggestion to the op to get an ssd when I saw he was still using an hdd, I didn’t claim it would solve his issue but naturally all the forum Karen’s had to dive in and make a point.
Well done Karen!
I'm not sure why OP upgraded his system in the first place since he didnt get a GPU as well.
Does he expect to play decent games with an onboard GPU?
How sure are we that OP is running the latest bios 7C89v19 which adds windows 11 support.
As ive stated earlier, he should just fresh install windows 10 and use his GPU from 2011 then when he has the cash to buy a proper GPU he can install windows 11.
If it still lags with windows 10 with the VGA drivers installed then the GPU on the CPU could be faulty.
Hi guys. I need advise. I upgraded my pc. I have a new main board MSI 410M Pro, new cpu i5 10400 comet lake, new ram 2 16gb and running windows 11. This should be more than fine for what I do, which is not gaming. But the pc lag is terrible. The response time on anything I do or click is terrible! I have now installed a second hand AMD Radeon HD 7900 and when using this the pc runs smoothly. But without it the PC is basicly unusable. But now the graphics card is not compatible with windows 11 and I don't have the money now for a new card. So why on earth will my pc not run on the onboard graphics? Is this a problem with the ram? But everything is new.
