Hi guys, I'm not an IT / PC guy so hopefully I can get help here. I have an old desk top pc (2006) which has an Asus P5GD1-VM motherboard. now unfortunately it crashed on friday and after our IT guy said we can try do a repair with the XP SP3 disc which only partly worked as we no longer have COM PORTS and the MS SQL is also screwed up.
for us here at work the serial port is vital and to get our software running correctly we need to get the MS SQL data base working. we cannot format the Hdd as there is a licence linked to it
I no longer have the original motherboard disc. Is there a way to get the pc working again properly?
I did google Asus and the P5GD1-VM but am not sure what to download.
thanks
