My PC has starting to randomly cut power while playing games. When i reboot the PC only the PSU fans spin the rest is dead and wont boot until i have re-plugged the 24 pin connector on the motherboard. I have tried removing certain components but still gives the same problem. Any ideas what part could be causing the problem? Thanks

PC:pSU: Corsair GS800
RAM: 2x 4GB DDR3 Corsair Dominator Platinum
SSD: 256GB Samsung EVO
MB: Z87 ASrock Pro 4
GPU: GTX 970 gigabyte
CPU: i5 4670k

when you start up go in to the bios and check the voltages see if they are stable

CPU Input Voltage: +1.744v
Vcore: +0.946v
+12.00v: +12.249v
+5.00v: +5.112v
+3.30v: +3.376v

Not sure what they should be. Thanks for the reply.

My money would be on the PSU being faulty. I had exactly the same issue some years ago.

It's probably not as random as you think. It'll happen when there's high load on both the CPU/GPU etc.

I can't say that's the cause beyond any doubt, but getting hold of and trying another PSU is definitely going to have to be your next step.
