Pc not starting up

Well, ppl posting here generally dont know what their doing if they ask for help.

You say your plugging in a 6pin connector..the 6 pins are generally for the gfx cards. If the connector on the board is a 4 pin, use the 4 pin plug. If it is indeed a 6pin, rip out all the parts on the mobo, turn on mobo ( with a pc speaker attached ) no beeps = dead mobo..then start installing the cpu then ram etc.
 
:o:o:o:o:o OMG, I'm sooo sorry guys I seriously did mean 8-pin. OK so I've got everything working except there's one tiny problem... there's no DISPLAY :eek::eek:, I'll try plug some speakers in and see if there's any beebs.
 
OK well the lights on the keyboard don't come up either so I gather it's a dead motherboard?

beeps are not from the speakers,its the bios notification on the mobo.So the board has its own speaker.
No display sometimes means hdd setup problems.There are many factors that is just one:D
