Try this:
Unplug your PC from the all.
Take out the battery from the mainboard.
Wait 30 secs.
Put battery back in and plug pc back in.
Turn on and test.

This will help me to see if it's a setting problem on your mainboard. If it still restarts post here again. Also make sure you do not have a shutdown temp active in your mainboard and that if picks your chip up as a 3000+

Does it blue screen before it reboots?

Are you sure the fans on the Power Supply & CPU are running fine?

well you need to tell us how long it takes before it reboots

if its rebooting very soon after booting up check your cpu temp

fan might not to on correctly

only thing i can think of

had a similar probelm. mine was the graphics card overheating, not saying thats your problem but try changing cards and see if it happens.

same here. cheap-ass geforce fx card was the cause. It was running too hot- didnt have its own fan or any kind of cooling causing random reboots which were not the best.

I would suggest it is some kind of heat-related thing. Dunno where u are but i am cape town and it 36 degrees here:eek:

Right-click "My Computer", select properties.
Click the "Advanced" tab.
Click the "Settings" button under "Startup and Recovery".
Make sure the tick is removed on the option "Automatically restart", ie. NO TICK

This will then show a BSOD error, rather that just rebooting. When it happens again, write down all the info and memory address.
Then we can maybe help.
