Pc restarts while playing games

ok cool, got an old ps2 mouse will try that, if pc give one more error (lets hope its not the last) im taking my pc in for a new psu, wanted to upgrade the thing anyways now is as good a time a ever. will keep you guys posted. Thanks for all the help
 
Bought it from a computer store in potchefstroom about 3 years ago. Pc hasnt cashed so far, been playing games for the last 2 hours. seems that it might be a driver issues or a dodgey USB
 
Have you been playing with the PS2 Mouse? If so, I think we've ruled out the PSU. Try installing the mouse drivers.
 
PSU is still a possibility, the USB ports run off the 5V rail, it could mean ur 5V rail is giving out.

Best way to try is get like a USB fan or USB coffee warmer, someting that draws a lot of power off the USB but doesnt need any drivers, then try play a game or 3D intensive or CPU intensive activity.

Or just not use ur USB until you wanna upgrade ur PSU :P
 
Hey guys! Looks like i have sorted my pc out, looks like it was a driver clash, something between my graphics card and my motherboard drivers, i think it might have been a dodgey driver download from nvidia. Downloaded a new version tuesday, uninstalled all my drivers and systematically reinstalled them all, system seems to be working fine now. Thanks for all the help guys!
