PC superior to next-gen consoles: Nvidia

The PC will always be superior.

PC sales may be on the decline, but the enthusiast market will continue to thrive.

Nvidia is clearly still bitter that they didn't get the console GPU deal, it would seem.

It's not like they're saying anything new anyway. Everyone's known for years that the PC is simply better than consoles on a technical level because you can keep upgrading it while consoles age.

In perspective when speaking about pc sales, what sales, do they mean complete desktop (excluding monitor) with OEM operating system? As with laptops (all-in-one), then also the all-in-one desktops. I have once purchased a complete system, which was way back… I own 6 personal desktops, all system (component) build and upgraded throughout time by me.

When last did you purchase a complete desktop system?

Same here. I built my own PC with parts from various online stores. The best way to show PC sales is probably by counting the number of CPU's sold, combining built PC's and individual CPU's.

Then again, some people keep their CPU for a long time and just upgrade other bits like the GPU, HDD and RAM.

Whois the more trolly, the troll trolling or the one relaying the trolling.

They can calculate it on licencing, which can depend on, per socket utilised (CPU) or cores utilised.

I still want to know how they determine pc sales though. I have stats here which positively indicate B2B pc sales growth (especially Apple per increase), yes it is not same market as the casual consumer, but these are calculated on OEM sales.

Noting that both AMD and Intel take licence income (up to $100) on both the PS4 and Xbox One… soon these consoles might even be pc’s… (ahem, next-gen pc’s), where Steam is taking the current lead.
