Hi guys

I can finaly afford to get the Mobo and CPU I got from QX6700RULZ working.
Now I need to buy a tower big enough so the Mobo fits in it. I don't need no PSU and all the other goodies as I'll be mixing up my Old machine with this new Mobo.

I'm not in the Market for a R 1k PC tower. The cheaper the better for the time being. Can anyone recommend a pls pref in Jo'Burg or Pretoria where I can get a decent Tower for a good price ?

I want to start up that beautifull mobo asap :o

Eh,u get two types of PC cases generally - huge & expensive,or smaller and expensive

Generally normal ATX cases are supposed to be able to support any compliant Board size ( be it standard a b or c ) so if those aren't for you,you need to go for option a

I quite like

Also note,Hardware suppliers have closed for the new year

That is such a plain PC case and it's almost R 1k

No way I'm going to spend that on a case. Well not this time of year anyway. I'll see if I can pick up a 2nd hand case some where... Junkmail FTW :p

Bells and whistles are best left to Christmas trees. Big case, sufficient cooling, loads of HDD space > green tree with irritating lights

I myself am quite happy with my Antec Performance II SX1040BII case,6 HDD's,bigass Mobo,500W truepower PSU,got the case alone for R1650 ( Quite a steal at the time )

I remember not so long ago they went for R 200. I'm far behind I see :p

This would be the cheap small plastic and aluminum cases you might aswell just get from an OEM. Sounded like you complained your mobo won't fit

All hail the wise and mighty PsyWulf!

Big case = happiness :D

/me bought the Cooler Master Cosmos S a while back. Loving it to bits :D

You can't go wrong with a good case - it's the one investment into your computer that you hope will remain future-proof :D

I'm using an antec 900 at the moment (the v2 fixed version) and pretty happy with it. a bit of a schlep to fit hdd's, but you only really do that once.

Nice Tower :)

Problem is though I don't think the Mobo will fit in a Midi tower :(

I have a Midi and there is no way making that Mobo fit. It's an Asus P5 something something Mobo.

Depends - is the board ATX or micro ATX? The chassis you buy would have that as a specification.

What I'd worry about, if I were you - is if your graphics card(s) would fit. That was one of the deciding factors for me why I wanted to get a full tower. *snuggles wiff his sexy tower*

That's why I like this one, the HDD racks go from top to bottom so you easily move the HDD if the graphics card is big. I have an 8800gt which fit's in with my HDD right next to it. Granted it's a bit of a squeeze but I was too lazy to move the HDD
