PC VS Mac

Have had my mac for about a month now, much better than any pc i've ever used. Easier to use, better to use and boots 1 billion times quicker

We should all agree to disagree.

I love gaming and theirfor i love my PC, but....

... i am also a graphic and design professional and theirfoe i love MAC

most games i play are available on mac, so i am happy.

If you buy programs, many are either for Mac or PC only. Which would you buy, say for Office 2007?

Budget Solution for just Office 2007 usage.... you can get a PC for cheap. Ubuntu for Free, which is equipped with Open Office. :D

Otherwise... pick either one. They're all the same if you just do basic stuff.
Take whatever makes your heart beat a little faster. (think of it as buying a car, you want something you like)

It seems this Holy War is subsiding... or just taking a break. :D

i really wish it would

Watch some of those Mac Adverts on the above link, other than the one posted. Even though its all done as a joke, Mr "MAC" agrees that PC is better at spreadsheets and Word processing

And it is awfull.....when snow leopard comes out with exchange support, i think open office is going to sink office for mac...

LOL.. no.. if he asked about graphic work, movie making, or something like that were rendering was required. I'd suggest the Mac.

My wife wants a Mac now as well because the coding they are doing requires unix access. Since mac hardware is easy to predict, its easier to code with a smaller sample set in mind, so for that I'd recommend Mac as well.

its this kinda stigma mac needs to conquer.....Use it only if ur a student, in design/advertising or production...

i know, it annoys me. On one side they are trying to push a more corporate image, then they release ads where its the opposite....

although it seems their sales are doing remarkably well.....

because its terribly slow. we use exchange and outlook ****s its pants before starting up and then only gets going, and no its not our infrastructure as it runs on amply speced hardware.

Ur saying exchange sucks simply because on your system its slow? Interested to know what would you suggest in its place? Kerio? Lotus notes?

Your hardware could be completely godlike, if things are setup by a fresh eared cert graduate then its going to be rubbish....
