But it's not the best value for money and depending on how tight your budget is your probably better off with PS4 or xbox one. Also almost every pc game these days require access to internet, so if you don't have access to high speed uncapped stable internet your also better off with a console.

I'm not so sure about that, a console is going to run you around R5-7k, R700-800 a game and a subscription to PS+ or XBL Gold. The past releases for console have had plenty of large day 1 patches, you can't really get away without proper internet and that's when it's not being DDOS'd.

Granted if you're 100% offline then the latter doesn't really apply.

PC by contrast, you could put together a very decent machine for around 10k, more expensive than console initially but after that, you don't have to pay for multiplayer/online, steam is free and there are so many bundles, sales and outright free games you can pick up dozens and dozens of games for a few dollars.

I feel the same way, this argument has been done so many times.

If you want the best gaming platform around graphics/performances wise and you can afford it , pc is clearly the way to go with 4k res becoming more affordable as we speak.
For the once not interested in best performances/graphics and just wants to play the latest games without having a care about hardware etc. Go pick up a console it's your best buy.

I know a lot of you will be saying but what about game exclusives? A lot people argument is that consoles has the best exclusives which might be true. But really in the end it doesn't matter which one you go for , you going to miss out on some games that's just the way it is.

Agree with you? I'm just saying if you really can't afford to spend like a cent more then say 5k or how much ever a new console costs, you are probably better off with a console since for 5/6k it's hard to buy a pc that will last like 3/4 years.
But then again with the cost of games for consoles it's hard to see how one cannot afford to spend a bit more and get a proper pc, if you can afford spending R700/R800 on a game.

It's actually stupid ,I feel that pc should not be compared with console at all. Gaming pc should be compared with other gaming pc's.
And consoles should be compared with consoles.
