So yesterday i finished putting together my new pc stuff and it worked fine till now, when i went into my room i noticed it wasn't switched on anymore and it wont switch on anymore. After a bit of playing with the power wires and power supply button it came to life again, and now when i went into my room same thing happened but this time i cant get it to switch on again.

It's not the power supply because i tested it in my other computer. Is it possible that my power supply is underpowered? Because im just using one of my old ones till i have money for a new one.

My specs:
CPU: i7 870
Mobo: Biostar T5 XE
Ram: 2gb DDR3 1333
Grafix:XFX 9600GT
PSU: Coolermaster 460w

you PSU is more than adequite to power your system.
More than likely it's the mobo if ur PSU works find on another pc

You put the RAM in the correct slots?

Windows isn't going into hibernation mode?

The ram is in the correct slot, i know this because i put it in the wrong slot the when i installed it the first time.

I doubt it goes into hibernation mode because it doesn't switch on after i took the psu out of the pc and back in again.

see if ur + and - is connected the right way on your mobo for the PWR SWITCH
and that no + are bridging each other or - for that matter

if switch it on, does any lights come on, or do you hear the hdd working?

and you are sure the power 1/0 switch on the psu is on 1

There is nothing when i switch it on, it is as if there is no power, the PSU button is definitely on the right position, and i have tried different PSU's.

might be the motherboard, if possible test that with a different system...

...i'm having similar issues, but mine switches on for 2 secs and powers down and its the motherboard as all the other components work 100%
