Just wondering does PCI-E1 cards work in PCI-E2 boards???Am thinking of buying me a new motherboard with PCI-E2 but I wondered if my old PCI-E1 cards will work in it?Sorry if this has been asked somewhere else before.I googled it and I could not find anything about it.

I have a PCI-E v2 card in my old socket 939 motherboard. It works 100%

ya... they didn't go the same route as ddr and ddr2...
Instead they just changed a little programing and increased some of the bus speed and voila! PCI-E 2

i guess this begs the question as from which model are PCIE-2 cards for nVidia and ATi?
