hey ppl...

i got a small problem, im running a biostar TA790GXE 128M.

which supports PCI-X 2.0 (16x)

the graphics card im running is a HD4870, which obviously also supports PCI-X 2.0 (16x)

and when i run CPU-Z / GPU-Z... they both state its only running at PCI-X 2.0 8x.... and yes i know that PCI-X 2.0 8x = PCI-X 16x...

but still my card should run at 16x PCI-X 2.0.

any1 know how i can fix this, please help.

thanx in advanced.

note: im running Vista Ultimate 64bit

No, it's X as algebra is the math of the unknown.
Funny, that my old Sapphire X300 shows as PCI-E x16 @ x16 lol.

That's right? PCI-X (I think the x is for extended) is a totally different (Parallel) standard based on the physical PCI bus. PCI-E (Express) is serial and totally different....

lol ... dont jack the thread plz :/ lol

i cant find any settings in my bios... as thats the 1st placed i checked =[

Too late, threads jacked :)

Which slot is the card in?? Are both 8x, I know that some mobos have slots that run at half speed, and some that run at full speed....
