Considering their prices are so good, do some of you IT business owners actually use PC International (www.pcint.co.za) as a supplier?

Just a thought that came up when I made a recent purchase over there.

Its not worth it as they are available to the public!

You mean that they sell to private citizens as well as business? In that case I gotta get me some of their goods, 2 x T260 here I come.

In your opinion, is it more cost effective to buy from the suppliers than from Pcint?

there are suppliers like Frontosa IT, Axiz, Rectron etc

I think the point he was making is that pcint are generally cheaper on their stock than likes of frontosa and rectron so yes i would imagine some IT companies do buy from them.

Not everyone knows about pcint.

Yes my thoughts exactly, look the average IT person probably knows about them, but the client base dont I guess, I wonder how good their after-sale support is..

Just wondering, its a good supplier if you want to launch a small startup IT company.

Just a thought.

A few guys at work buy there stuff from PCINT. They are cheap on some stuff, but not always so cheap (wrt to rectron, frontosa, pinnacle etc.)

I used to buy all my stock from Pcint, at that point I had negotiated with them for better prices, so if you are a dealer and you are pushing business through them they will negotiate a better price for you.

I have been pricing a new system through them. Very good prices. They seemed to only supply what was listed in the components section of their website, though. (had been wanting a Sapphire ATI HD 4670 GPU) and a particular Cooler master chassis.

[Slightly off topic: Just a bit wary about buying something from up north in case I have a problem and have to courier something thing back for warranty purposes. But that goes for any non Cape Town based supplier.] Any feedback regarding anyone who's had to return anything to PC-Int?

PCINT's pricing seems quite good looks like very low markup. I normally use marveltec
their pricing is good and they deliver + if you have warranty claims they handle the collect and deliver for R150 not bad
