Hi

Appreciate any suggestions or advice ya'll might have.

I want to connect to my network (wireless) with a PDA or Palm or similar?

I'v got the wireless stuff sorted with the netgear adsl router, just need to know what palms or pda's i should look for - must have a qwerty keyboard in it too.

> Person< maybe you can suggest something?

lastly, i need to run a dos based program. i'm hoping the windows versions for these handhelds can support dos?

I'll shop arround for you tomorrow and see what i can come up with. I'll get back to you by the end of the day.

You wont get one that can run Dos.

If you're looking for Wifi and QWERTY go for i-Mate Jasjar or i-Mate K-Jam.

Jasjar is bigger than K-Jam.
Jasjar has got 3G and not Edge.
K-Jam has got Edge and not 3G.

I write software that is used for surveys all around africa, and we're using dell x50's. The wifi connection on it seems more powerful than the one on my centrino laptop.

I'm curious as to why it needs to have a qwerty keyboard?

When typing in a text field a small qwerty keyboard appears on the bottom of the screen. That way you don't need to learn one of those painful alphabets.

Friend of mine has a HP PPC 6500 series, and that is one awesome PDA. It's got all the goodies including GSM, EDGE and GPS. It's a bit more expensive though but definately worth it i think and it's got the qwerty keyboard as well.

I'm currently using a 4150 and it also works excellent. I wanna upgrade but will wait until the screen res is increased beyond VGA on PPC's.
