Hi there,

I don't know all the prices but you guys can let me know if it's a bit expensive or cheap.... The pc is about 10 months old and in excellent condition.

The specs are:

Foxconn 45CMX motherboard
P4 Pentium D E2160 @ 1.80 GHz (overclocked to 2 GHz)
2 GB DDR 800 Mhz (Motherboard is running at 801 MHz)
Intel 82945G Express Display Chipset (224 MB o/b display)
160 GB Hard Drive
Sony DVD Writer
Black Casing with Blue fan and a Red light inside the case
Microsoft Wireless Laser Keyboard 6000 v2.0
Microsoft Wireless Laser Mouse 5000 V1.0
17” Samsung CRT Monitor
Genius speakers
Windows Media Center is the Current operating system
Extra CD Writer and stiffy drive

Price is R3800 o.n.c.o

Hmm Personally I think that is a bit steep....Excluding the monitor (which is a 17' crt and worth nothing) you could buy a brand new machine for that amount!!
 
so what

would you say is a fair price for this pc?
 
Well a new E2180 with 1GB ram & 80GB HDD will cost you R2199... Excluding a monitor.
But like Grimspoon said, a 17" CRT is worth nothing
 
Well I just put together the cost on all those components NEW (excluding the extra CD writer and stiffy) and it comes to pretty much the exact same amount (R3800).....Seriously for that amount I would go and buy a new machine, that PC is already 10 months old, the components are going to expire the warranty pretty soon. But if pushed for a price i would say around R2200 - R2500 max.
 
Well that's just nice... Dam.. hehe... Thanks guys... I'll try and lower it a bit to see what happens...

So EVERYONE new Price now is R3000 (the extra few buck is for the MS Wireless set... That was about the most expensive part, hehe..)

Who says R3000
 
I guess R3k isn't too bad if you include the peripherals, but at the end of the day, not everyone likes the same kinds of peripherals, so while it may be of value to you, maybe you'd be better off keeping it for your next pc and dropping the price...

Selling a 2nd hand PC for R2500-00 isn't gonna be easy if there's no graphics card (assuming you sell to someone who knows what to look for etc)
