If you can afford is, a Intel Core 2 Duo, starting at R1730 with the E6300 (which performs between a AMD 4200+ and 4600+) and beats even the fastest Pentium D...

ok try R2000+ for an ok 2x pciE and goes up to R3500+ for a good board... but wait for a mounth or to... there will be a huge influx of core2duo boards with better prices
