I would like to know what type of performances you get after hours, not really concerned about during the day. Do you get the speed your line can go? or is it also shaped to hell and back on protocols? Also what are your latencies to gaming on intl servers and local..

Perhaps a ping result to

wow-europe.com i just want to know the general ping to the telia network

and to

games.saix.net

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

I'm with Axxess Uncapped Express 384kb 4Mb line R.899. Moved from MWeb joke huge difference. Usually just after 19 p.m. i'm getting my full line speed and dl on the torrents are going around 400kb. To games.saix.net pings are around 350ms. To wow-europe.com time out probably not pingging the right thing :) Not into online gaiming at all sorry. Hope this helps.

im looking for feedback on more the + accounts than the normal ones, but thanks anyways

I don't think the Uncapped Express product uses fibre and that's why latencies are bad. If you want good performance, you need the Uncapped Express+ package which costs R100/month more. That package uses fibre.

No its not that. ALL IS ACCOUNTS uses fibre. It became clear when seacom died ALL IS accounts was dead. So how can seacom effect a satellite connection? IS has since said that the R899 account are fibre too.

I can't ping wow-europe.com I get a time out the whole time maybe the host is not allowing ping requests. You will be wasting R100 a month. If you take the R999 instead of the R899 cause there is NO difference. I've had both accounts. Last month the R899 account and this month the R999 account and nothing is different to me. Gaming pings local and international are the same.

Cave how is it in general dude?

Downloading fine? I am seriously considering the 899 package, cannot handle seeing mweb go down the toilet, managed like 15gb this weekend. during the week i barely managed 15gb.

Does it run 4 meg the whole weekend?

It sounds good, but correct me if I'm wrong, surely due to the 10 day rolling threshold of 5GB for the 384kps package, after the first evening of decent downloading your line speed will drop to 192kps during the day (forever)?

Would you mind pinging and tracerouting this ip please . 213.248.123.47

It resets every 10 days.

I have been running the express+ since March 2009. It is by far the best of the leeching accounts I have ever used... and I have tried a few. I cannot give you an indication if it would be good for gaming as it is only used for international torrents 24/7. I have another computer connected to the separate express+ line, and as much as it basically dies by 8am each day, you can trust it to be back up by about 7pm in the evening and over the entire weekend. I think I can count on one hand the number of times I have seen it dead in the evening or over the weekends... it is very reliable. My only gripe is I have noticed a general decrease in the overall speed by about 30KBytes since the beginning of the year which may be related to the introduction of cheap uncapped accounts.

What happened to 1st class internet with a 3rd class mindset?

Its full speed all the time. 8pm at night where there is usually a lot of traffic. I will get 435kbs with p2p. Local ping times are better than SAIX from where I am.

International ping times are ok. I mostly get 23-30ms to JHB from Richards Bay [compared to SAIX where I get about 60ms] and 210-215ms to UK and about 300-310ms to the US.

Yes it is. But I find that it burst a lot when the rate limit is active.

Not sure what you mean?

Mweb has a 1st world network but when i can only do just over 15gb a weekend i get worried. Mweb is struggling now in terms of p2p so i am not happy. I have no complaints about the other stuff just p2p.

Although i can only access this site on IS mweb it's dead.
