Morning All, we are urgently recruiting top tech talent for a major new client in Cape Town. Want to disrupt, change the world, have passion you're looking to devote to a cause? Budgets: -
Usability is totally open, it's a Lead role and current interviewees are ranging between R650k to R800k in expectations
BAs are ranging between R450k to R650k depending on experience
PMs are around R500k, looking to get some flexibility on that
Developers - client is tech agnostic so considering strong Ruby on Rails, Java, Python, SCALA programmers and genuinely open on salary - we have interviewees ranging from R550k to R950k required

You website interested me for all of 15 seconds ... then I saw all the jobs I checked have the following :

SALARY: x - x

For all I know it is all a scam and you just want my personal information...

Hi, thanks for the comment and it's a valid point. The challenge we face on listing salaries is based on a clients' willingness to accommodate a range based on experience, ability and seniority. In this case in particular we have a client who is less interested in current earnings, more interested in paying leading salaries to attract and retain - not that common unfortunately.

Re personal information, you're welcome to withhold until you're comfortable it's 'real' so perhaps just drop an email for a direct chat.

Thanks for the reply. But surely a customer has a range they are looking at a budgeted amount. To me the message that is sent with no salary indicated is "we will pay as little as we possibly can"

You guys are labour brokers, and you screwed over a mate of mine a few years back.

You're probably right, we tend to focus on working with clients less focused on budget, more focused on talent. In this case that is genuinely the reality having placed a number of the roles already.
 
As for the affected party, I have e-mailed him a link to this thread to come and weigh-in here.

A few comments about lack of salary so to put some ranges to those, see below: -

Is it totally impossible to include this in the job ad?
 
Why is this company offering more for developers than BA's? Also where is this company based?

If they're willing to offer me R750k for my 10 years' experience as a BA/SA we can play ball.

re the budgets for Developers comment, they are looking for outstanding engineers so that level is being offered where appropriate. That doesn't exclude the other roles offering similarly attractive salaries.
