Performance Gaming PC: help?

Air won't take you to 4.8GHz on either chip unless you get a seriously rare stepping.
For the most part the 9X on the 8400 will do just fine. Not worth the extra bucks I think, but then again if you are into that sort of thing looking for 4.8GHz then it may be worth it.

exactly what 6700 says

if you looking for the best oc cpu then buy the e8500 if you want a good overclocker at an affordable price then e8400 is your baby

if i had alot of money to blow month to month i would have bought the e8500

intel are not stupid and would not release a cpu that is alot more but only 116mhz more speed, there will be some incentive to buy it and the higher multiplier is the incentive

I dont exactly have ALOT of money to blow every month (R5k or so), my only problem is that i HATE saving up! LOL, i just want a PC NOW ya know? I set my sights on something and i want it then and there, or at the lastest when i get paid. Saving up for the most top of the range pc would either drive me insane, or i'd fail miserably at it, continously spending money on things I don't need, like a R699 micro**** keyboard purely because there is a set of LED's beneath the keys; making them more visible @ night, or something equally rediculous lol :(

whahahha

i bought a 600 keyboard for the back lights

i dunno i guess some of us are actually addicted to pc parts

i like a good looking pc .. lol .. i believe that just because a pc is wicked on the inside, doesn't mean it can't look stunning on the out :P .. well, thats me excuse, and im sticking to it lol
