[Personal Experiences] Hisense TV's

Is there anyone here that has a 55" Q7F UHD QLED and how does it compare to say for example the LG NANO79?

My budget is about R8k - R10k max. I'm a bit skeptical as I've never owned a Hisense model, but currently the Q7F is going for R8k which isn't too shabby.

I have an LG 42" at present, so I'm keen on buying LG again since my current TV is 7 years old already, so I'm not sure if I should take a chance on the Hisense or not.

I will NOT be gaming, so things such as low input lag doesn't really bother me, it will mainly be just for series / movies and general TV viewing.

Which one should I go for? I know new models are inbound, probably why everyone is having sales everywhere right now. But I don't mind purchasing an older model if it provides good bang for the buck.

did you get a tv yet

this isnt bad but its 50"

Not yet.

Will probably wait a bit longer, and see how the new Hisense models stack up that are due to arrive in the next few months. On the flip side, at the shops last week, my wife saw the size difference between a 55" and 65" TV's and said that 65" would be better, lol.

So yeah, when Black Friday arrives and there are some decent specials, I'll probably bite the bullet and buy a TV unless another decent special shows up in the mean time :D

I got the 65" U7QF earlier this year for R10k from Vodacom. I see they now have a Hisense 65"4k ULED for R12899 (marked down from R17999). Can't see a model number on this ad, but it does say quantum on the picture so it is probably the same model. Price seems to be in line with that model as well. It has VIDAA, but I just kept using the Mi Box.

Also saw this but in the description/specs it doesn't mention quantum dots, it has 3 HDMI ports and the brightness is 360 Nits which doesnt correspond to the U7QF specs. The picture they use is the U7QF for sure though.

Yes it is not clear. When I bought mine it had the model number in the specs. Worth confirming with Vodacom if possible.

I picked this model up this month.
Really happy with it, good value for money.
Apparently it has been one of the top sellers in that size.
Picture quality is excellent out the box, 4K looks amazing as well.,
It was going for R8k at tafelberg.

Nope not on my 2. The M5000 remote Netflix button doesn't work any longer though.

Having owned the U8QF for over half a year now, I must say im really happy with it. The 1000+ Nits brightness is amazing. Makes other (~250 nit) TV's look so crap in comparison. The local dimming is for the most part great and unnoticeable. There are a few tiny software gripes (the odd crash, which improved a lot with the only firmware update I ever did. Hopefully would get better with another update) and the really odd picture issue (super minor stuff, but for this price range its expected). Overall, super happy with it.

Mine went up on the wall over the weekend.
Superb. Especially considering it cost R16k incl. delivery all the way into my lounge.
I'd be hard pressed having to spend more than double to get questionable/incremental better PQ.

Seriously, the brightness of this TV is insane. Even non HDR content looks HDR. In a dark room its able to blind you, which is awesome when your friends come over and aren't used to a powerful TV like this. Well lit room during the day? No issue, this thing is like a mini sun.

The misfortune of dealing with Hisense's warranty support has put me of the brand completely.

I would rather take the 4 year warranty with Hisense.
Compared to 2yrs with LG and Samsung.

Exactly. Have had 2 Samsungs with dead pixels just out of warranty.
This is Hisense no 3 and none of them have ever missed a beat, so cannot comment on warranty support, although 4 years does at least give me a fighting chance vs buggerall on the Koreans.

Does anyone here own a 7100f model? I'm looking at the 43", just looking for some feedback on quality :)
