[Personal Experiences] Hisense TV's

So I got my tv and set it up quickly. Must say looks pretty good and glad I did not take the 55".
Just two questions, can you play sound together through your hifi and tv or is it just one or the other.
Also near top left corner there is a faint P2 on the screen. Is that a setting? OK I did not peal the screen protector off as my tv stand is too small and I'm scared its going to fall off so I first want to build a new tv stand tomorrow or over weekend, so will peel the protector of after finished moving tv around, so might be that writing is on the sticker.

It depends on how the TV is connected to the hifi
 
Sorry for all the questions but I know nothing about tv’s.
So I played one of those 4k sample videos on Youtube and it was like the picture is choppy/stuttering. Almost like to slow fps with the camera moving.
I also played Avatar n 4k on Disney and it was fine and a f1 old race on f1tv(1080p only) and also fine.
So is it a Youtube problem, tv problem, internet or maybe hdmi cable problem?

Using your own logic and experience of what you've tested where do you think the issue could be. Hint it appears not to be the HDMI cable

On my Hisense (U8H) I can only use tv speakers together with Audio out or Bluetooth. There is no option for using it with ARC or optical
 
Hi the a8h does it's 1080p upscale to 4k look sharp picture

Most TVs upscale from 1080p to 4k. The A8H does a pretty good job of it yes. My blurays look really good, even dvds look good.
 
OK good to know thanks and streaming from netflix also not blurry?

Okay so I finally have DSTV Now and Showmax working perfectly on my TV. I have a 55A6100UW. It "only" took a week to get this resolved . In an effort to help others, just follow my steps below and you'll be sorted ASAP:

The fix is to:

1. Download the firmware (.BIN file) from this link: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1YAlzY9FFiYuAPObMkx6fDwhueuImUg6K (This is my own Google Drive. The link/file WILL NOT DE DELETED)
2. Format a USB flash disk as FAT32.
3. Copy the .bin file as-is onto the root of the USB flash disk (Do not rename the file, do not put the file into a folder)
4. Put your TV on, and go to Settings > Support > System Update > Upgrade from USB
5. The TV will automatically detect that a firmware upgrade file exists on the USB. Click Yes or Ok to continue.
6. Your TV will now reboot and install the firmware. (It might stay at 1% for a while. This is normal. The progress bar will eventually move. DO NOT power off your TV during the firmware update process)
7. Once the firmware installs, your TV will reset to its factory default state.
8. Change your country to SA and after a few minutes you will see the Showmax and DSTV Now apps.
9. Log in to them and they will work perfectly. (Browsing titles and streaming)

NOTE: The firmware I have provided ONLY works on the following models:

43A6100UW
50A6100UW
55A6100UW

DO NOT ATTEMPT TO INSTALL THEM ON ANY OTHER HISENSE MODEL.

Hi, I require Firmware for Hisense 43A5600PW, will this work?
 
So do you all set you TV on HDR10?
Look its nice to say you have HDR10 or Dolby vision, but for me most content look best in SDR. Here and there I have watched a 4k movie that I contemplate maybe looking better in HDR or Dolby, but its a bit of a hassle switching between them for every different thing you watch.
Or maybe its just my eyes getting old and those bright picture of HDR irritating them.

OK granted I play through the Apple tv. Have checked and it feels the Apple tv give a better pic and upscaling. But you have to select on Apple tv what option you want and it then auto set the tv to that.
Using the Hisense tv smart function is useless to me as the two main apps we use is not available on it. Disney and F1tv
