[Personal Experiences] Hisense TV's

Not bad so whole system for R10.5k, how does it sound?
True. The system is great for the price. For a movie freak like me, it has upped my appreciation of the sound production that goes into media. It's quite emmersive.

Yeah the effort into sound is impressive, then you get places like Netflix who bugger up the sound mixes sometimes :-(

True. Not a fan of streaming services. I watch mostly 4k blu-ray remuxes.

A TV box (Apple or Android) should be considered as default when budgeting for a Hisense TV.
Which tv box would everyone recommend.?

Ideally looking for one that can play Netflix,Amazon prime, Disney plus, show max, dstv now and Apple tv

Definitely the Nvidia Shield Pro is the best in terms of features. Otherwise, if short on the budget, get any Google certified 4k player, they should support all the streaming services.

I have a Mi Box S which performs decently, but no Dolby Vision. If I had to buy something again I'd look at the Chromecast with Google TV, R1600 at Geewiz. Better performance than the Mi Box, and it supports Dolby Vision too.
Otherwise the Apple TV is next in line at R2500.

Nvidia Shield TV would actually be my first choice but it's a lot more expensive.

The Apple TV 4K would be my choice and Apple generally keeps their devices updated with the latest software for a good many years. And if you have Apple Arcade, the 4K box is a handy gaming device.

have a reasonably priced 49" smart hisense. GREAT TV. crystal clear color and picture. Would recommend. Great TV. Is it as sharp as an OLED samsung? no. its a good tv though, never any problems in 5 years either

Hi all
I see Takealot and New World have stock of the Hisense U7G and U8G.
55U7G for R12165.00
55U8G for R15155.00
65U8G for R19699.00

Hi again
New world has the 65U6G for R12999.00 and the 55U6G for R9999.00

Hey guys any Colour setting recommendations for the Hicense 55b8000uw TV? Thanks

Has anyone actually confirmed that our u8g models can't display 4k120hz? I know the spec sheet says otherwise, but I wouldn't put it past Hisense's incompetence to get that wrong.

A few posts back there was a video review posted of "our" version of the U8G. The evidence you seek is there
