[Personal Experiences] Hisense TV's

I’ll be very impressed if Game can reprint you that receipt. Also if Hisense swaps out your TV. Please provide feedback. I’d like to know how good this 4 year warranty is.

My Hisense broke after 3.5 years but I had the receipt scanned on my PC.

They sent out a techie who confirmed it was broken and they gave me the full purchase price in credits at Tafelberg Furniture where I bought it.

I added some money and bought a Sammy QLED that also broke after a few months, then I paid in a few more bucks and bought the 65" LG CX OLED.

So the warranty worked perfectly for me but I had the receipt.

This warranty story a little worrying. Surprised how other companies make this work without invoices but Hisense not willing too
Iirc Hisense checked my TV's serial number and confirmed it was still under warranty but Tafelberg wanted the receipt.

Sorry if this has been asked, but for a few weeks now the plex app on my hisense tv isn't working anymore. Anyone with this problem, and if so a fix for it?

Can't say that Games response is all that valid if you ask me.

They're all on the same linked SAP system now, they should be able to bring up the transaction in the store and reprint the receipt very easily if you ask me. Unless of course their Business Analysts have instituted retard business processes (which is highly likely)

what do you mean doesn't work anymore?

App doesn't start, or media doesn't play?

Was doing some research for a similar problem on a Samsung the other day, for a media doesn't play problem.

I tried this On the TV app, ensure that Settings -> Advanced -> Allow Insecure Connections is set to Always, and on the server, ensure that Settings -> Network -> Secure connections is set to Preferred.

Oh yes sorry, it looks like the app can't see my server anymore, and I didn't change anything on the app or the server. I will try your advice and see if that works.

Thanks for the reply.

I had this same problem too on my U8QF, it would say my server was unreachable or something like that, unfortunately you have to restore the tv so make sure you have all your current settings written somewhere, oh and this will be a daily thing.

What eventually solved it for me was the current software update that came out about a month or so ago. Haven’t had the problem since .

Has anyone successfully registered a TV on the Hisense website for the extended warranty?

I tried a few times today but just got a spinning cursor every time I pressed submit.
Same issue, keep getting "There was an error trying to send your message. Please try again later."

So emailed them the information from the form, waiting on feedback still.

I emailed them yesterday and have had no reply.

I emailed them on 13 December and as yet no acknowledgement, or anything at all. But I’m keeping that email as proof that I followed their process to register the warranty.

Can’t go wrong with the OLED. What broke on the Hisense? Did they offer you a replacement or just the credit?

The panel developed a black stripe on one side, the LED's died.

They only offered the store credit.

I was very happy with the Hisense and my Xbox Series X looked great on it but this OLED is next level.

Same on my Hisense TV....... No longer seeing server. Think it is Plex app that is outdated. Plex on PC working fine

That’s a pretty decent standard warranty then. Similar to taking Massmart’s extended warranty where they refund you if they can’t fix. Store Credit is good enough for me.

Erm, what happens if you paid with eBucks and hence got 40% off??

Getting back just what you paid in Ebucks would be a huge fail.
