[Personal Experiences] Hisense TV's

Hi all
Could you please tell me, what kind of panel does the 65inch Hisense u7g use.

Howzit, you guys scheme R17k is a good deal for the 65U8G? Even though it's not the same as the American variant

Depends on what the prices of the other equivalent TVs from other OEMS are like.

Not exactly sure how the specs compare, but besides the U8G, I'd rather get a 65 inch LG C1, which is R44k and completely out of my budget or a Sony X90J - cheaper than OLED but I've heard mixed reviews about the black levels on that TV.

Honestly just want proper colours and black levels and I know OLED is probably the way, but they're so damn expensive, which is why the U8G sounds tempting since people say the black levels are decent. Hisense quality control just sucks

Look my 65U7Q is great on colours it's a ULED and my previous 58N5000 wasn't too bad but nowhere near as good. Blacks on my U7Q can be almost inky black, sometimes theres a little light bleed from logos spinning and such but most of the time it's great, and for the price it was fantastic.

and no dirty screen effect? but thanks man, makes me feel more confident in the U8G or U7Q if I can find one in P.E. Anything's better than the b7100 at this point

Yip it will be awesome, I have a 65U8QF which is the previous model and its 100% perfect.
with LG and Samsung you are paying extra for the name, these new Hisense premium LED's are top of the range. You won't be disappointed

doesn't justify the massive price jumps from LG/Samsung to Hisense. Don't compare a cheapo Hisense to an expensive Samsung. Hisense's top of the range line are very very impressive for the price point.

Once you factor in the 4 year warranty and price difference it’s a no brainer.
 
Is it true the South African variants of the U7G and U8G don't support 120hz and VRR unlike the US variants?

Afaik, the U8G in SA does support 120Hz and but not VRR (according to the local product page). The U7G however, does not support either of the two technologies. Click on the "Specifications" tab, you'll notice it mentions it there under the "Image Display" section at the top.

The U8G locally does support Auto Low Latency Mode for VRR, but not VRR itself if you check under the "Image Processing Section" (which is quite odd) :unsure:

The panel for the SA one is 120hz but no HDMI 2.1 support. And might be bugged to just be refreshing half the time.
 
Quick question guys - I have a 55u8qf and would like to know if there is a way to install additional apps on the native Vidaa operating system?
