Yeah, I agree that the C1 would be a lot better but my budget is pretty fixed. Thanks for the advice tho.
Having said that, Serval shows that the 55" A1 dropped to 10k! Might wait to see if something like that happens again.
I thought about it some more and I'm not going to bother waiting 7 months for the chance at a discount.

Can’t you save up a little longer for the C1? If you’re prepared to wait for the A1, which I very much doubt will go to R10k.
2 years later and I still appreciate my CX every day.

I have found that certain movies/series does work and others don't. It has something to do with the formatting of the video. It also seems that there is really no way around that, other than trying to change the format of the videos (which takes ages on my pc), or buying some type of android box unfortunately. VIDAA software is k@k.

Honestly this^^^ I just couldnt see myself buying an LCD tv in 2022, I would rather save up and get a C1. My piggy bank just isn't filling up quick enough.

The price of oled, especially for a 65” is outrages. I wouldn’t even save up for it… maybe in a few years it will come down. At the moment there is no value for money with oled.

LCD tv's are still more than good enough for 95% of people. Bought a Samsung QLED yesterday for my spare bedroom as my folks came to visit for a few weeks. They have an OLED at home and they are more than pleased with the QLED picture quality. OLED is a nice to have but I'll still recommend QLED LCD to most people

I fall under the last 5%, Yes LCD is good but Oled is great, The deep blacks is what i am after, especially because most DV content is dark and specular highlights really pop on OLED, Yes LCD gets really bright but lacks with deep blacks.

How much of DV content do you watch? and how much of actual everyday content will you actually notice the deep blacks vs a very good LCD tv? From my experience, not much. I had a QN90a for a while and preferred that for everyday tv. HDR on that tv was extremely good.
However, for gaming and videophiles definitely go for a good OLED! Not that A1 kak

I actually watch a lot of DV content,sometimes i go out of my way just to find DV content, I enjoy closing my curtains and immersing myself in DV, My TV gets very bright and it blinds me sometimes, But unfortunately some of the light bleeds into areas that are meant to be deep black due to FALD thus ruining the PQ for me, I actually notice these things. I will gladly sacrifice some brightness for some deep blacks.
The A1 doesnt get that bright so i wouldnt even consider it, I think it only peaks at 400/500nits, C1 or C2 all the way.
